Sentosa and Thai Express

Softball training is cancelled! Decided that time cldn't have been better spent bumming on the beach with 2 mates from hall. Catching up from the disappearance act earlier in the week? ^0^

After very short 2 hours at Sentosa.. On the mrt on the way to town. You guys ah.. I waste money leh... Keke..

After Sentosa, JL, BZ (I decide BZ easier to shortform.. hohoho) and I hit thai express at metro paragon fora big feast... =)

meeting up with dad and mei

Had a rare exclusively father and daughter lunch with daddy at a nice spanish restaurant in biopolis, because the mother and sister had gone off on holiday in Genting without us! =) As usual, with two food fanatics, we ended up ordering more than we could finish with 2 tapas, lamb steak and white-wine mussels. Plus main course of chicken, mutton, pork paella and salmon pizza. Complete with the set that comes with free flow coffee, brocolli soup and dessert. Alamak... I think half the pizza was da baoed home and is still sitting in the fridge. I love my family, because its just so homey, so foody. I don't understand how come some fridges have countable no. of items in them. I think the amount of food in our fridge could well serve my family for a month. ^0^

After that, I met mei for a bit, she didn't seem very interested in shopping, good.. I cannot shop too much. And we ended up sitting down and talking endlessly at one food joint or the other. From Mos to wisma food court and finally to ... is it coffee club express? I'm impressed with the mudpie and its portion. Should visit coffee club more often instead of supporting the stingy portions served at NYDC.

FYP and Malaysia trip!

I know i know.. have carried out disappearance act since the last week of exams. Decided to go home and be a good girl, working on my fyp, spending time with my family and meeting up with my friends. Was frantically trying to run my FYP program the whole of monday through wednesday, so that I could actually show my FYP supervisor some valid results on thursday. No such luck, after running my program for some 18 hours and 14 hours, the program refused to give me some results and I went with nothing. But it's alright, Prof gave me some comments, said I was being too ambitious and gave me some ideas on how to scale down everything. Did not work on it yet though, cos after presentation in the lab, I rushed back to hall where JM was waiting for me and we headed off to JB! AT last! mixed feelings towards the thursday because of FYP and the JB trip. BIG S, kl, yl and leong were already enjoying themselves there since morning, while I had fyp presentation from 11.30 to 1pm.

Leong came to pick me and JM up near the causeway in a super nice family car. haha.. I think they think I'm over-excited over the car. I think there's enough space at the back to have a fight. Hoho... then leong filled me in on their happenings and I found out I missed out on ba ku teh breakfast and secret recipe! Dont care... I have to do those the next time we go JB. Was super hungry by then, cos it was already 3pm and leong made me and jm walk in the hot sun for a long stretch before arriving at a small road-side stall. Was rather skeptical at first, liew.. come here and bring me to a small stall... But yeah.. one can get really full on a lot of goreng pisang, fried fishcake(okok.. yu bing), fried tapioca, fried mushroom and some funny fried indian potato ball. Super heaty and oily food! to be washed down by kalamanci juice, sea coconut juice, coconut juice and luo han guo drink. Leong bought one of each for us to try, since its kind of cheap anyway. Wah liew.. I'm surprised I didn't have a tummy ache at the end of it all. my stomach is pretty strong ay? ^0^

After lunch, I joined the rest of the gals at the nail palour where they were already getting their nails down. We were initally supposed to do just the pedi, but ended up doing both pedi and mani, so we spent close to 4 hours at the shop. Leong and JM refused to enter the pink, girly shop and went walking around the shopping centre, but eventually(after 2 hours?) surrendered due to the boredom and finally stepped in the shop to find a place to read their comic books. Really sorry guys! but you were great host! Hope they are.. ahem.. still game for another visit in the future. Kekeke..

Finally, we headed off to eat dinner at some ulu seafood restaurant, which leong got lost getting to, and added half an hour to the ride. Think we drove for one hour and the last stretch was along this small loong, and dark road, that for an instant, I thought leong got lost all over again.But yah.. he didn't lah... Dinner was da tou, crayfish, sambal kangkong, sambal sotong and fish (hai di ji). yummy yummy.. After dinner, we did some sightseeing, went to THE DARK ALLEY and to a fun-fair at some holiday resort.

Sunday night at home

Just spent a lazy sunday at home, ordered 2-for-1 Canadian and chilled in front of the tele with my sister, watching Honey, starring Jessica Alba. The show's not that great, but I really liked the dance at the end, plus lil raymong and benny in the show are awfully cute.

Finally got to meet up with my ol neighbour mei, who's back from Australia for the Dec hols. Had a good long talk with her to catch up one each other's lives. Sure missed her a lot, and yeah.. I always can count on mei to listen to me talk and to make me wake up my idea! Yeah... u're the bestest! =)

Am feeling very sinful from the ben and jerries i had for whilst chatting with mei. Chubby hubby is my absolute #1 flavour. Also had not so fantastic cherry flavour picked out by my dad. Heh... I still waiting for in-house ben and jerries. you know who u are ^0^
