Alright! So now i'm back in business.. So much for faithfully blogging about my time in Sweden. It's now the 24th of January and I arrived in Stockholm, Sweden since the 12th of January, so effectively I've let 12 days in the wonderful world of Sweden rush past me, unrecorded. It's probably not my fault really.. It's kind of hard to be blogging when you're still unfamiliar with the surroundings and haven't yet settled down. One of the worst things, would probably be the fact that the Internet in my room could only be activated 2 days ago. Yeah, yeah... I wanted to write about my fabulous adventure on the first day. Wrestling with maybe 45 kg worth of luggage and trying to find my way from the Arlanda airport to the KTH info centre for my key, and then to my hostel room in Lappis by airport bus and the metro, tunnelbana. Not to mention the cold. 4 degrees may sound like nothing to many people, but it ain't fun when you're fresh flown in from Singapore, tropical paradise.
So, what have I been doing for the past 12 days.
Alright, first things first, let me pay tribute to my family and friends. It's weird, but nice at the same time, how you learn to appreciate your family and friends more when its time to say goodbye, even for that little while. Thanks for the gatherings, and helping me pack ( had loads of fun there, I know I'm way too disorganised and thoughtless) and for the pressies you guys thought I needed while I was away

Starting top left:
1. Mum’s collection of medicine, warm packs, batteries, torchlight and other important things I would never have thought of bringing on my own.
2. My Baby’s hand knitted scarf. Smash!
3. Scarf from Liquan, Yuai, Yongfa and other eldorn and felore mates.
4. Judokas only think of food. Pineapple tarts for the flight. First thing I ate when I was hungry in Stockholm

Starting top left:
5. Pretty hat I liked when I went shopping with Dora and Serene. A gift so I wouldn’t get scolded for buying and owning an impractical hat that doesn’t cover my ears.
6. Beanie loaned by Liyan after she saw the ugly one I had. Name tag so I wouldn’t lose my important cards like how I lose my matric card back home.
7. Army mug, water tumbler and card from Chris. I felt really sad after reading the card.
8. Bunch of cards from my sis, judokas, TY and the handball gals.

9. Photos of my family to reduce the homesickness. Courtesy of my daddy!

My room after I settled down. Looks lived in already. Décor left behind by my previous occupant, Kelvin Low. It’s funny how I feel like I know him although I never met him.

My supply from home. Maggi Mee, Bak Gua, Milo and Teh Su Su.
Okay, so what have I been doing for the past 12 days? Can't remember... Right now, all I can remember is Uppsala, 45 minuets train ride north from Stockholm. Check out the cathedral.

The cathedral is so amazing, we just kept taking photographs of it from every angle. After heading towards another place, we’d still take photos of the cathedral from afar. We just couldn’t get enough of it. Our photos definitely don’t do the real architecture any justice.
