Kaiser-Wilhelm-Gedachtniskirche. Church was bombed in 1943, most of the church was destroyed, only leaving its front tower with its incomplete roof.

Potsdamer Platz.

Initally we wanted to visit potsdamer platz. However, we didn't get a good parking lot and it suddenly started raining and became really windy. We decided to return another day. As it was getting rather late, we quickly herded into the car. Our plan was to leave Berlin for Munich and travel to a town en route, called Dresden.

We managed to find Leipzig rather easily and took in the nice view. The hostel we booked was actually in a small town some distance from Leipzig. We decided to try our luck and find accomodation in Leipzig itself, so that we could tour Leipzig in the day. However, my hopes were not high as I read that hotels and hostels are always packed with visitors attending trade fairs in Leipzig.

Looking at the Leipzig map, trying to find some accomodation. We roam the roads of Leipzig for about one hour and a half. Every other hostel we find is fully booked... Finally, we decide that we are wasting our time and try to find our initial hostel. By this time, it is already super late!

We took super long to find our hostel. In the small town, there were so many small roads and confusing signs we seemed to be going around in circles. The hostel ends up to be in some remote place, probably supposed to be some get-away for the people of that town itself. Argh!! We are so late, the reception is long closed. Luckily some nice girls open the door for us and one of them helps us look for the receptionist. Only then, could we rest for the night. The place itself turns out to be rather nice, although ulu.
